What We Do

Get that demo finished, and release distinctive-sounding songs regularly

You've got the songs, the talent, and the desire to be heard. But after recording the first few lines of your demo, you did what you're NOT supposed to do. You listened to 200+ different kick samples, tried 25 different vocal presets, and spent hours trolling through compression settings. The magic you felt when you started evaporates, so you close your laptop and walk away.

Weeks later you get a friend to "produce it" for you. It's not perfect but it's done, so it's time to release your music into the world. You spend days choosing the best release service and hire an expensive promotions agency.

The weeks go by and that Spotify counter is still saying <1000 plays. It's demoralising that no one heard your masterpiece. Your friends liked the song, but there's no follow-up material for them to hear, and they're back to asking you about your day job.

But there's a simpler way.

So it's tough out there. What are you going to do about it?

We've been there and know exactly how frustrating producing songs regularly can feel. That's where the 4-Step Max Method comes in: a step-by-step process designed to help you stay connected to your hard-won fans by releasing songs regularly.

We'll work together to achieve the sound you want, suggesting edits and harmonies and combining our experience with your vision. And we won't be asking you for any royalties.

Once you're happy with the song, we'll run with the time-consuming non-music bits, leaving you free to focus on staying creative. We can't promise a number of streams (and anyone who does is probably selling you fake/bot streams). What we do have is a tried and tested method to get your song in front of real playlisters in your genre.

Our Process

The 4-Step Max Method

Release a new song every two months, with a clear plan for getting each one in front of real listeners.

1

Ignite

Set up and get to know you as an artist

  • A 30-60 minute call to discuss the art and the direction, drawing on years of experience crafting musicians into artists.
  • We listen to your demos and discuss your musical heroes. We need to know where you're at before we go for that moonshot.
2

Explore

Song production and perfection

  • You send the basics of your song and any thoughts on how you want it to end up. A hummed voice note, a GarageBand demo, or similar.
  • We create the instrumental and send it to you for your input and to add your parts. We'll even suggest harmonies for you to sing.
  • The collaborative process continues until we have a fully produced and mixed song.
3

Lift-off

Release, with pointers on promotion

  • We guide you through the release process, helping you get set up with distributors and a well-defined release strategy.
  • We assist in writing an artist biography and accompanying text for your release, with your input.
  • We show you how to send the song and bio to blogs and pitch to Spotify playlists for maximum exposure and plays.
4

Repeat

Build your listeners and fanbase

  • Start playing with the next idea while the last one keeps finding its feet.
  • A reliable release schedule lets you build momentum from one track onto the next.
  • No more hanging on to that one song because it's the only one you have.

Why it works

Consistent, high-quality releases are the fastest way to grow your fanbase

The Max Method is all about putting consistently great songs on Spotify on a regular basis. That momentum creates a snowball effect: more new music to listen to means more people listening.

Regular releases create a proactive online persona and breed loyalty from fans who come to expect their regular dose of "you". People aren't robots: they follow a song on a playlist to the artist page, or Shazam something and check it out later. Having a body of quality songs gives them something to explore. It's called cross-pollination, and it's a thing.

Algorithms are robots, and they watch everything. When cross-pollination happens, the algorithm takes note and shows your songs to new, similar people. One awesome song and five "demos" is an instant turn-off, so consistently high quality is what keeps people (and the algorithm) listening.

Release

Craft your song with the pros and get the best version of you out there. Stop dreaming about it and actually do it.

Guide

We'll point you at the playlisters and the playbook, then get out of your way. Use your extra time to start on your next mind-meltingly good song.

Repeat

Consistency, quality, and a little bit of quantity. The music machine must be fed, and the more quality songs you have out there, the more the algorithm gives back.

All in one place

Production, mixing and release combined, so you save the time of researching every step, priced per project and agreed upfront, with no nasty surprises.

A real schedule

Songs released regularly to help listener retention and cross-pollination between releases.

Remote & efficient

Deliver your feedback and go for a walk while the changes get made. No paying for studio time while an engineer auditions 1,000 kick samples.

The boring bits, handled

Getting set up with royalty collection agencies and distributors is fiddly. We do the hard work so your tunes get the best shot at success.

Case Studies

Some real projects we helped out with

Every project is unique, and every artist faces their own obstacles that we strive to overcome together.

Elias Macy

Elias Macy · Sweden

When we started with Elias he'd released a few songs over the years with varying results, having used a number of different producers and promotion agencies. One of the main issues, common for remote recordings, was getting reliably good home-recorded vocals, crucial for the crisp modern pop sound we were aiming for. Through video calls to perfect his technique and state-of-the-art AI-powered recording enhancers, we overcame it.

Elias did two songs with us and took his Spotify listeners from 5,000/month to over 130,000/month at time of writing. The songs were so successful that he's been picked up by an independent Swedish label, and we wish him all the best.

Ceyeo

Ceyeo · USA

Based in the US, Ceyeo had found it difficult to connect with reliable local musicians who could take his songs from laptop demos to finished productions. The result was a ton of half-finished demos that held all the promise but couldn't deliver sonically, yet. An initial challenge was refining a "sound" so the songs would sit cohesively as a unit. Using the SongGenie "Pyramid Method", we set sonic boundaries that glued the whole project together, crucial for a monstrously adventurous artist blending Rock, Funk, Hip-Hop and Pop.

In a little over two years Ceyeo has gone from new artist to releasing two studio albums, with a third on the way, gathering over 2 million streams across all platforms.

Start Your Journey

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Maybe you want to be sitting on two dozen half-finished demos. Or maybe you'd rather have a body of work you can be proud of. Something that isn't just "something you did", but something you "are doing", that people contact you about, and that has meaning.

If you like the sound of finally spreading your wings and releasing that demo you know has potential, so it gets heard by more than your mum and your dog, then you're in the right place.
